Pakistani state 'wages selective war on militants'
Militants in north-west Pakistan have attacked a university in Charsadda killing at least nineteen people.Two Pakistani Taliban figures have given opposing statements: one saying they carried out the assault, another denying this and calling the attack "un-Islamic." Christine Fair from the Center for Peace and Security Studies at Georgetown University in Washington explained what might be behind these contradictory statements.
