The words that describe your indescribable feelings

Have you ever struggled to find the right word to describe how you're feeling?

Dr. Tiffany Watt Smith, a human emotions expert, has written a new list of words to help us describe the indescribable.

In 'The Book of Human Emotions' she describes feelings such as 'torschlusspanik' - the agitated, fretful feeling we get when we notice time is running out.

She said there are some emotions from the past that have "completely dropped out of our emotional language today" and she wanted to compile some of them.

A lot of the research came from anthropologists, who looked at different cultures and identified unusual words that they couldn't find an obvious translation for in English.
