Tributes to 'remarkable' explorer Henry Worsley
A polar explorer and friend of Henry Worsley has told 5 live the adventurer had a "strength and passion" for his expeditions.
Mark Wood, who worked alongside Henry, said the explorer had the "rugged determination to push on" but that it "might have been his downfall".
Mark went on to say Henry's final adventure, which was following in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton, should "go down in the record books as one of the most incredible journeys of recent years".
Henry died of 'complete organ failure' after suffering exhaustion and dehydration as he attempted to become the first person to cross Antarctica completely unsupported.
The former Army officer was raising money for wounded veterans, but on Friday was airlifted to hospital 30 miles short of the finish line.
