Riding on the pavement: a fair cop?
Greater Manchester Police is running a campaign called Operation Considerate, aimed at stopping traffic offences by all road users -- including cyclists.
5 live's Rowan Bridge joined Police Community Support Officer, Gareth Walker, as he fined a cyclist for riding on the pavement. The cyclist was a student and said the £50 on-the-spot fine was "crippling".
