You are more likely to be killed whilst taking a selfie than you are by a shark attack, a journalist has found.

Conde Nast Traveller journalist Brad Rickman noted that whilst there was more media interest in shark attacks in 2015, the number of people who died whilst taking selfies was actually higher.

Brad Rickman described how two men died after taking a picture of themselves posing with a live grenade, a university student fell from a bridge in Moscow after trying to take a selfie while hanging from the bridge, and five people were gored in Yellowstone Park in the USA, while taking a selfie with buffalo.
