American cinematographer and director Haskell Wexler, who died in December 2015 aged 93, interviewed at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in June 2015.
He discusses his directorial debut Medium Cool (1969), about the riots at the 1968 Democratic Convention, his Oscar-winning cinematography on Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, his admiration for a Henry Fonda speech in John Ford's The Grapes of Wrath (1940) and more.
