Documentary on murdered war reporter James Foley
James Foley was a photojournalist who worked on the frontline in Libya and Syria. In 2012 he was kidnapped in northern Syria and killed by the so-called Islamic State two year later. He was beheaded by his captives in 2014, which was videoed and put online by the militants.
A new documentary about Foley's life - made by his childhood friend, the filmmaker Brian Oakes premiered at the Sundance film festival recently. HBO will broadcast the film this month.
For many people, James Foley is known for the way he died.. They can picture his death and that's all they know about him... but what about the way he lived? Weekend's Paul Henley has been speaking to Brian Oakes.
