Test your dog's intelligence with 'the plate test'.

Dr. Rosalind Arden from the London School of Economics has helped develop an IQ test for dogs. She says it could pave the way for breakthroughs in our understanding of the link between intelligence and health.

To test your dogs intelligence Dr. Arden suggests taking two paper plates and draw a circle on each one - one large, one small. Smear each circle with food and put them in front of your dog. If your dog chooses the larger portion first then you have a clever pooch!

Experts have discovered that dog intelligence works the same way as humans, so canines who perform well in one task tend also to do well in others - just like their human masters.
