Former financial regulator warns of indefinite low rates
Former City regulator Lord Adair Turner says the UK is "stuck in a very deep economic malaise" and "radical policies" are needed to get out of it.
In an interview with Wake up to Money, he warns that there is "too much debt in the global economy... since 2008 far from that debt going away it's simply shifted around the economy and simply got bigger."
He thinks interest rates may not go beyond 2% until 2020.
