Why shoppers are so bamboozled by supermarket offers
The majority of food shoppers are unable to tell the cheapest deals when faced with a number of "special offers" in supermarkets, according to financial experts.
The Money Advice Service asked over 2,000 consumers to pick the best value deals from four sets of offers.
Only 2% of those asked answered all four questions correctly.
John Penberthy-Smith from the Money Advice Service spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live Daily's Adrian Chiles, and explained the reasons why he thinks shoppers are "bamboozled" by the number of deals on offer.
He said: "In those categories where there are different sizes, different shapes and different solutions, it can be completely bamboozling."
