Leukaemia patient beat 25 million to 1 odds to get a donor
Lara Casalotti, a 24 year old leukaemia patient was desperate for a life-saving stem cell transplant.
Lara's half-Thai, half-Italian background meant that the chances of finding the right donor were put at 25 million to 1.
With the help of the Match4Lara campaign which received the backing of celebrities like Stephen Fry she has now found a donor.
Lara said ''When I received the phone call from the nurse, i just didn't know how to react - so I just phoned my mum, she was so happy. I'm just really really grateful to everyone who signed up.''
