
Church defends prayer tweet for atheist Richard Dawkins
Richard Dawkins, Britain's most famous atheist has had a stroke. Church's communications director said it was a "genuine tweet offering prayer for a public person who was unwell".
Richard Dawkins, Britain's most famous atheist has had a stroke.
The Church of England tweeted on Friday "Prayers for Prof Dawkins and his family" after the author fell ill on 5 February.
Director of communications for Church of England Arun Arora has been accused of trolling him, using its own official Twitter page to say he's praying for him.
Church's communications director defended the comment and said it was a "genuine tweet offering prayer for a public person who was unwell".
