The two-headed snake nicknamed ‘The Twin Destroyer’
A reptile breeder from Australia described the moment his snake egg hatched, revealing a two-headed costal carpet python his daughter has nicknamed ‘The Twin Destroyer’.
John McNamara discovered the Siamese snake from his home in Wodonga after the mother gave birth to 10 babies and said he initially thought “it might have been twins”.
However, after he tried to split the serpents apart he soon realised it had “one body and two heads”.
Mr McNamara believes it’s “extremely rare” for snakes born with the condition to survive, but hopes ‘The Twin Destroyer’ who is doing well will “keep on going”.
