Parents told to stop smoking cannabis on school run
A primary school has called in the police after parents were spotted smoking cannabis while dropping off their children.
The school in Greater Manchester sent a letter home with pupils last week saying the matter was a serious concern.
Tony Clarkson, the chair of St John's C of E governors, said "it's not a particularly big problem" and not one he knows of "personally".
He said it's an issue that "needs to be addressed" and the school was "entitled to make a firm but proportionate response" by writing a letter to parents.
Bury Council told 5live: "The school has, quite properly, taken action in responding to concerns raised by parents about matters that affect their children attending the school. We support the school's and police's actions and have a zero-tolerance approach to drugs on school sites."
