The journalist Janine di Giovanni has been travelling to Syria for many years. She has now written a book based on her conversations with Syrians - those who support President Assad, as well as those who oppose him. It's called "The Morning They Came For Us" and focuses on ordinary lives, often literally ruptured, by war. She's been speaking to Newshour's Razia Iqbal about the book.
