One hit wonder: To Kill a Mockingbird
The author of To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee, has died. Published in 1960, it became a modern classic: and subsequently a much loved film, but the author declined the limelight.
It was only last year that another Harper Lee book appeared, Go Set A Watchman - amid controversy about its release and its content.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ books editor Jim Naughtie spoke to PM presenter Eddie Mair about the impact Harper Lee's first and only book had decades before she wrote her second book: "Here we have celebrated author, Pulitzer prize, Presidential Medal of Freedom, celebrated around the world. One solitary book. It's quite remarkable."
