The author of To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee, has died. Published in 1960, it became a modern classic: and subsequently a much loved film, but the author declined the limelight.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ books editor Jim Naughtie spoke to PM presenter Eddie Mair about the impact Harper Lee's first and only book had decades before she wrote her second book: "Here we have celebrated author, Pulitzer prize, Presidential Medal of Freedom, celebrated around the world.
