Yosemite's 'firefall' photographer on taking viral photo
Amateur photographer, Sangeeta Dey's image of the 'firefall' over the El Capitan rock formation in Yosemite National Park has been seen by millions after it flashed around the internet.
The stunning visual display happens every February when the light hits the Horsetail waterfall at a certain angle.
"I had to fight tooth and nail for a spot," she explained, "I ended up under a thorny bush."
Catching an image if the 'firefall' is not guaranteed, but depended on there being no clouds, and a clear night.
"I was crying [...] it's just so unreal," she said.
The images accompanying this clip are used with the permission of Ms Dey.
