Manuel Pellegrini chose to field a weakened starting eleven against Chelsea in their fifth round FA Cup tie.

Manchester City have matches both in the Champions League and the Capital One Cup final on the horizon.

Chelsea fan Chris phoned into 606 after witnessing the one sided game at Stamford Bridge and was angry at Pellegrini's team selection.

"Why would you not put out a strong team to try and win one trophy, I don't understand why the trophy has become so devalued."
