The tale behind the World Press Photo of the Year
The World Press Photo Awards took place in Amsterdam earlier this week with first prize going to Australian photographer Warren Richardson.
The image which won the award showed a refugee passing a baby through barbed wire across the "unofficial" border from Serbia into Hungary.
Richardson told 5 live Hit List that he was "fifty percent sure" the hands receiving the child were that of the father.
He went on to say that the man in the image was one of "six Syrian men" who sacrificed themselves to help "at least two hundred people" pass through the border.
