Tony Blackburn: “I had been asked to resign”
Tony Blackburn has spoken to Broadcasting House on Radio 4 in his first broadcast interview since parted company with the ѿý over the evidence he gave to the Dame Janet Smith inquiry.
Tony Blackburn told presenter Paddy O'Connell how he came to lose his job:
"I had been asked to resign. They gave me the chance to resign saying, 'That way you don't cut off all ties with the ѿý and we could probably bring you back in a few months'...I said no I wouldn't do that."
