West Brom should have let Saido Berahino leave when Tottenham offered £24 million for his services, former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas said.

Berahino found himself out of favour at the Hawthorns, and has only recently broke back into the first team.

"It's a shame that they weren't able to come to some kind of agreement which would enable the lad to continue with his career," Jenas told Mark Chapman on 5 live Sport.

"Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but the numbers were pretty high."
