Former Coronation Street writer: Tony Warren 'was a genius'
Tributes have been played to Tony Warren - the Coronation Street creator and writer - who has died aged 79.
Warren, who created the show for Granada Television when he was 23, died after a short illness.
Daran Little - who wrote many Coronation Street episodes and introduced its first openly gay character - spoke to Eddie Mair on Radio 4's PM programme.
