Pendleton: First win as jockey was 'incredible'
Victoria Pendleton has said her first win as a jockey was “incredible”.
Pendleton won for the first time as an amateur jockey on 5-4 favourite Pacha Du Polder at Wincanton.
The double Olympic cycling champion was unseated at Fakenham on her last ride, but was glad to stay in the saddle this time around.
"It was incredible actually, I wanted to redeem myself and just get round the track," she told Alistair Bruce-Ball on 5 live Sports Extra.
"Winning is so rare, anything can happen. But now and again you have a win and it's so special."
