A short docu-drama, broken into two parts, looking at how Functional Skills English (Speaking, Listening and Communication, Reading and Writing) are crucial for people working in a catering environment. In this storyline, the kitchen has been asked to come up with ideas for a healthy dessert option. In part 1 we see staff discussing options – exchanging ideas about what could be made. In part 2 we see the recipe being written up and the dish produced. The film ends with staff tasting the dish and commenting.
