David Pleat: Pundits' Wenger criticism 'unjustified'
David Pleat believes some pundits “cannot justify” their criticism of Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger. Pleat made the comments after a number of high-profile former Gunners players turned on Wenger following a run of poor results.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Pleat said: "Considering he's progressed the careers and given them [the pundits] the opportunity to be critical I think he does remarkably well. Arsene must be tearing his hair out quietly."
Pundits like Ian Wright, Ray Parlour and Thierry Henry have criticised Wenger, but Pleat said: "I know [they have to say it how they see it] but I don't think a lot of it is justified."
