How to tame your toddler's tantrum
John Lewis has apologised to a mother after she was ordered out of one of its stores because her toddler was having a tantrum. Lindsay Robinson was with her sixteen month-old daughter when a shop worker asked her to leave because of complaints from other customers.
Katie Kirby, a blogger and a mum of two, said John Lewis' decision was "shocking […] to single the parents out and feel like they're failing, I'm quite surprised".
Her best advice to control tantrums is to "have bags of snacks, toys and lots of distractions, and try to bribe them out of it".
She said "we should encourage parents to get out and do normal things, not make them feel they're messing it up".
