'The Beatles were very lucky to have George Martin'
Mark Lewisohn, a historian who met and worked with Sir George Martin, said The Beatles were "very lucky to have him, and he was very lucky to have them".
The record producer, often described as the "Fifth Beatle", died aged 90.
Lewisohn said Martin "was always looking for something new, he had all the experience that The Beatles could possibly use".
Martin had a "tremendous musical knowledge," he added.
