The teenage pregnancy rate has dipped to its lowest level since records began.

Latest figures show that in 2014, there were 23 pregnancies for every thousand girls aged between 15 and 17.

The conception rate for women aged 40 and over has more than doubled since 1990.

Clare Murphy from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live Daily’s Peter Allen that the drop in teen pregnancies is a complex picture.

She said: "Lots of people would quite rightly point to better access to contraceptive services for young people and even better sex education in schools."
