The Royal family were turned down by a five star Hotel in France because all of the rooms were already booked.

The H么tel Marotte鈥檚 manager Estelle Walti told 5 live she would have loved the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to stay but the hotel has been 鈥渇ully booked for more than a year鈥�.

Estelle went on to say they 鈥渢reat all our guests with respect鈥� and 鈥渄idn鈥檛 think about cancelling other people鈥檚 bookings鈥� to accommodate the request for four rooms.

The Royals are planning to attend the Battle of the Somme centenary later this year.
