Buckingham Palace has taken the unusual step of complaining to the press watchdog over an article in the Sun newspaper which claimed that the Queen supported Britain leaving the European Union. Peter Riddell, a member of the Privy Council, said although some of her predecessors intervened in politics, the Queen was very careful not to state her opinions.
