Shearer: The appointment of Rafael Benitez is a 'great coup'
Alan Shearer calls Rafael Benitez's managerial appointment a 'great coup' for Newcastle United.
The Spaniard has signed a three-year contract, which is understood to contain a break clause should Newcastle be relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
The former United striker believes Benitez will be good for the Magpies "if he can manage the football club the way he wants to manage".
