A Leicester City fan has been told on social media to divorce his wife after she convinced him to ditch his season ticket - before it turned out to be the club's best season yet.

Kate Diamond tweeted: "tune in on the final day of the season to see if our marriage survives" and subsequently received lots of marital "advice" from Twitter users in response.

"I suggested how our time and money might be better spent... I thought at the weekend we should be doing family stuff, she said.

Husband James said: "Its been amazing this season... Every time we've sat and watched the game and seen another Leicester city win, there's been this unspoken 'yeah - I would've been there last season'".
