When divorcee Matt Walker settled down with his second wife in the US he knew it would be difficult to spend time with his two sons in Australia.

His solution was the RambleBot, a small robot which he can operate from his home in the Silicon Valley.

He said: "I am sitting on a couch a lot of the time with them, while they are playing computer games or watching TV."
