Using your tumble dryer is not "worth the risk"
Phil Buckle, the director general of Electrical Safety First, says the risk of using some Whirlpool tumble dryers is not a risk worth taking. The comments come as Whirlpool is hiring 700 new staff - 350 call centre, 350 engineers - to fix the 1.3 million people now in the queue having registered their tumble dryers.
