Tory MP on PIP: 'This is their lifeline'

Conservative MP Johnny Mercer said his party needs to communicate its policy on Personal Independence Payments (PIP).

He told Andrew Neil he was a "compassionate Conservative" and PIP was dealing with the "most vulnerable group in society" and there was a need to make sure the money went to the right people.

There is pressure on George Osborne to rethink £4bn in cuts to disability benefits with some Tory MPs expressing concerns about their impact.
