I was 'number one suspect' when my dog found the World Cup
It's 50 years since England's celebrated winning the World Cup but that was not the only football story making the headlines that summer.
The theft of the World Cup tale is regularly descended into farce and has become one of the most memorable in the history of the tournament.
It was four months before the 1966 World Cup was due to kick off at Wembley when the Jules Rimet Trophy was stolen from a display case at Westminster Central Hall.
A week after the cup disappeared, 26-year-old Dave Corbett left his flat in Norwood, South London with his mongrel dog Pickles, who ended up finding the famous trophy.
