Lewis Hamilton: F1 qualifying 'definitely' needs to change
Lewis Hamilton said something 'definitely' needs to change about the new F1 qualifying format.
The sport has kept the three-phase format, but added extra eliminations which sees the slowest car knocked out every 90 seconds after the first half of each of the three sessions.
Hamilton was 0.360 seconds quicker than Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, but the track was empty for the final five minutes and senior figures said the format should be rethought.
The Mercedes driver said "bring us some tyres, make us all use those tyres, give us more laps so people are constantly watching".
