IDS resignation 'nothing to do with EU referendum'
Iain Duncan Smith's resignation was nothing to do with the EU referendum says Employment minister Priti Patel.
She said she "fundamentally believed" he decided to quit for the reasons he has stated - that he was unhappy with the way the working poor are being asked to take the brunt of cuts to the budget. Mr Duncan Smith said he wants to see policies which unite the country rather than divide it.
