World Water Day - how music can improve sanitation
It's estimated that hundreds of millions of people around the world still don't have access to clean water. For many families, poor sanitation can be a killer - with tens of thousands dying from diarrhoea caused by dirty supplies and facilities. The singer Cerys Matthews - who also has a show on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 6 Music - has travelled to eastern India as a representative of the charity Water Aid. She tells Fergus Nicoll about how music is being used there to improve sanitation, through hygiene education in the classroom.
