David Laws: 'My private life is much simpler' since press revealed his sexuality

Former Liberal Democrat minister David Laws says he "should have thought through" the consequences of keeping his sexuality secret after he became a cabinet minister in the coaliton government in 2010.

He said: "The people that I knew were incredibly supportive, and sympathetic."
