Barry Davies pays tribute to Johan Cruyff
Sports commentator Barry Davies paid tribute to Johan Cruyff, saying he was in the “top three” best footballers the world has ever seen.
Cruyff, who made his name as a forward with Ajax and Barcelona, was European footballer of the year three times. He died aged 68 after being diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2015.
Barry Davies went on to say Cruyff had the “skills and abilities to bring out the best of other people” and he was the “icing on the cake” in many of the games he played.
