Corrie star: 'The world needs to catch up' on disabled access
The actress and disability activist, Cherylee Houston says a report by the House of Lords which says disabled people are only an 'afterthought' for the government is 'very polite'.
The House of Lords report said that laws designed to eliminate discrimination aren't working. Baroness Deech, who chaired the committee said "we have been struck by how disabled people are let down across the whole spectrum of life."
Cherylee, who plays Izzy Armstrong in Coronation Street said that she thought people with disabilities were often 'not thought of at all' and 'sometimes we are seen as bothersome'.
