"It is like a city of ghosts" in Palmyra after Islamic State retreat
AFP journalist Maher al Mounnes entered the city of Palmyra with Syrian government forces as they drove out Islamic State militants. The town is not only strategically important but it is also home to some of the world's most impressive roman ruins.
