Women of the Easter Rising
Ireland is marking the centenary of a key moment in its history - the 1916 Easter Rising which eventually led to independence from British rule. Over 300 women participated in the violent rebellion, although their role was overlooked for some time. Orla McKeown - a relative of three sisters who were detained for their involvement - remembers their role in the Rising and the subsequent civil war for independence.
