A new aerial survey of some five hundred sites on the northern part of the Great Barrier Reef off Australia shows such serious damage that scientists warn a large number of corals could die within the next few months. Ove Hoegh-Guldberg is professor of marine sciences and director of the Global Change Institute at the University of Queensland.
