Lee Ingleby: I hope A Word helps understanding of autism
Actor Lee Ingleby, who plays the father of a boy diagnosed with autism in ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ drama The A Word, says he is pleased at the "response" to the programme.
Ingleby told Sarah Brett: "We always knew it was a brilliant piece of writing… If it just helps people understand it a little bit better then we have done our job".
Max Vento, who is not on the autism spectrum, stars as young Joe in Peter Bowker's six part drama. Ingleby told Sarah although Max is only six years old he "was very professional, more professional than most of us... He got to establish who Joe was".
