Booth: 'I had doubt whether I should or shouldn't stop the fight'
Boxing trainer Adam Booth reveals he almost threw in the towel during Andy Lee's WBO world title defence against Peter Quillin.
Booth, who is most famous for working with David Haye, admits he was ready to stop the fight before Lee managed to convince him otherwise.
"I had this overriding feeling that the fight was over," he told 5 live's boxing correspondent Mike Costello.
"He said what I needed to hear. In that moment I had doubt about whether I should or shouldn't stop that fight. And in that second round he managed to get hold of that fight."
Booth was speaking after Nick Blackwell was placed in an induced coma following his British title fight against Chris Eubank Jr last weekend.
