Sutton: Mangala's decision making is 'appalling'
Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala makes 鈥渁ppalling鈥� decisions when defending, according to Chris Sutton.
The former Chelsea, Blackburn and Norwich striker was critical of the France international鈥檚 Champions League performances this season and says manager Manuel Pellegrini has big problems in defence.
Speaking on the Monday Night Club, Sutton said: 鈥淵ou cannot give somebody a brain and that鈥檚 Mangala鈥檚 problem. He can run, he鈥檚 strong 鈥� but defending is all about decision-making.鈥�
Times journalist Rory Smith argues that Martin Demichelis is the better option for City in central defence.
