Infamous cannabis dealer Howard "Mr Nice" Marks dies
The man once described by British police as the driving force behind the world's biggest cannabis deals has died. Howard Marks was 70 and had had cancer. During the 1970s, while on the run from the authorities, he shifted tons of cannabis across continents. He eventually served seven years in a US prison. He wrote a best selling memoir, Mr Nice, which became the basis for a film. The journalist David Leigh wrote a biography of Howard Marks:
