What causes Asia's brown cloud?

The brown cloud over Asia in winter is caused largely by soot from small domestic fires

Soot produced by small domestic fires is found to be by far the largest component of the huge brown cloud of pollution over south Asia in winter that contributes to climage change and damages health.
